Usually when it comes to unpaid credit cards, the charge will be split 50/50. On the Mortgage, whoever is living there is usually the one that resumes paying for the house including the utilities. Its hrd for me to answer the one about the mortgage though since my ex was never on the mortgage note (she had bad credit and we couldnt buy it if she was on it). The first thing a good attorney will tell you is to close all joint accounts you have together, because legally she can over draft as much as she likes and you will end up with half of the bill. Its sad, but thats the way it usually goes. Thank God for having a huh?...NOT!
