Do I have testicular cancer?

For about 6 years now I have had a relatively painless lump in my left testicle. I have had numerous physicals but the doctor has never really said anything about it. He said I should get it checked out if it enlarges further or hurts. I have always wondered why it is enlarged and am worried that I might have cancer. What other conditions are ociated with this problem? Thanks!
