I can't find a boyfriend because I don't like being controlled?
I know this sounds like the same naive, stereotypical rant from ugly girls all over the world -- and it might be -- but to me, there are valid points, too. I'm watching The Real Housewives of Orange County, and I'm observing the men's actions towards their wives. It really bothers me that they treat them like property, and that the wives allow it and sometimes even find it endearing. I'm a very socially perceptive person, and when a man feels superior to a woman simply because of his gender, I can see it in his eyes. When a man is condescending, I can feel it. It really bothers me that I'm looked down on because of my gender, and it bothers me that so many people deny this fact or chalk it up to a personal problem on my part. I've consistently observed an elitist mentality in men that shows in their words and actions, and I feel it would be an insult to me if people dismiss it like they would a breakfast cereal that they don't care for. Anyway, are there any other women out there who feel like this? Are there any women on here who have avoided relationships with men and are single because they would almost rather be alone than be treated like less of a human being?
