Where does this leave the Native Americans?

I am half Cherokee. I have listened to the stories from my Grandfather and Mother about the the treaties throughout history that haven't been honored by the US Government. The broken treaties would return lands that were taken from Natives that includes Cities and prime farm and woodlands.. not to mention natural resources. We won't see that ever happening.
