Help with talking to a shy girl?

There's this girl I really like but it's just so hard to talk to her because she's really shy. It all started back in October for my school's homecoming when i grinded with her. I really started liking her after that. I've talked to her a couple times since then but we've never really had a long conversation. Yesterday we had a districts track meet and i talked to her a little bit on the bus but she never ever starts a conversation with me. I've caught her staring at me a lot and yesterday her and her friend were looking at me and when her friend said something she playfully punched her and they started laughing ( i'm pretty sure she was teasing her about me.) After that though they were walking back to the bleachers and when they walked by she turned sideways and glanced at me. Same thing happened on the bus on the way back. Im a little shy myself and I find it really hard to talk to her but i wanna get to know her and ask her out eventually. She's in one of my cles but its really hard to talk to her cause shes always around her friends except when she's walking to her next cl and she never really asks me any questions when we talk. It's mostly one sided but she does seem into the conversation. Do you guys think she likes me? And any advice on how to have a longer conversation with her and what to talk about?
